Mobo’s 2012 Winners, Well Done Emili Sande Triple Award Win!

Huge congrats to Emili Sande, not only is she number 1 inn the charts at the mo with Labrinth, but she scooped the much coveted Mobo awards 3 times! winning best album for Our Version of Events, best female and best R&B/soul. Emili also has the UK’s best selling album of 2012 so far, phew and she deserves it, well done to you.

Rita Ora, whose three UK number one singles this year helped her to the best newcomer crown, Labrinth picked up best song trophy for Earthquake, Nigerian singer-songwriter D’Banj was named best African act and the award for best gospel artist went to Birmingham’s Rachel Kerr. JLS won best video and performed, Chilli and T boz receive the outstanding contribution to music honour a decade after bandmate Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes sadly left us. Not forgetting the awesomness of pop legend Dionne Warwick who won the Mobo lifetime achievement award. Enjoy the pics below
